ABOUT CHAD
Chad Sowash is a proven leader. Chad has successfully worked in partnership with hundreds of major Fortune 500 companies, federal, state, and local government to build specialized programs supporting companies’ recruitment processes.
Many of the programs Chad has built focuses on the translation, attraction, engagement, hiring, and retention of veterans to ensure great companies connect with qualified veteran talent while working toward achieving compliance with federal regulations. Through his leadership, Chad also promotes market education on the benefits of hiring veterans, including their intensive training, education, soft skills, and their drive to succeed individually and as part of a team. Working with employers and veterans alike, Chad helps organizations identify fill their skills gaps with qualified military candidates transitioning to civilian life.
Chad brings to this role 20 years of military experience, including combat service, experience as an infantry drill sergeant and more than 15 years in leadership positions where he led, managed and motivated groups ranging from five to more than 200 individuals. In addition to his military service,
Sowash draws upon extensive recruitment industry expertise. He worked for Online Career Center, Monster.com, and spent ten years with DirectEmployers Association, where he served as both vice president of Membership and Business Development. There he led collaborative efforts with hundreds of member organizations like AT&T, Lockheed Martin, ConocoPhillips, and General Dynamics in the development of the first complete National Labor Exchange in U.S. history. He was also chosen to speak before Congress on behalf of veterans and hiring companies.
Sowash has served as chief experience officer for RecruitMilitary, director of veteran recruiting for Randstad Sourceright and continues his work as principal partner with Catch 22 Consulting.
Chad is also an Order of Saint Maurice recipient, honored by the National Infantry Association for conspicuous contribution to the Infantry.
